Lihat.ai operates under Meta’s rate-limiting policies to ensure compliance and optimal platform performance. All API requests made through Lihat.ai are subject to Meta’s rate limits, which govern the number of API calls an application or user can make within a given timeframe.

Platform Rate Limits: Graph API and Instagram Basic Display API requests are subject to Platform Rate Limits, which are calculated based on the number of active users of an app. The general formula for rate limits is:
- Calls within one hour = 200 * Number of Users.
- Example: If an app has 100 users, the app can make up to 20,000 API calls per hour.
Business Use Case (BUC) Rate Limits: Marketing API and Instagram Platform requests are subject to Business Use Case Rate Limits, which apply depending on the type of access token used.
Real-Time Rate Limit Monitoring: API usage statistics are provided in response headers and can be tracked within the Meta App Dashboard.
Throttling & Request Failures: If the rate limit is exceeded, API requests will be throttled, and subsequent requests will fail until the call count drops below the limit.
Ensuring Compliance: Lihat.ai actively monitors API usage and implements mechanisms to prevent excessive API calls, ensuring compliance with Meta’s policies.
